Motorola on Thursday launched its latest Moto E5 smartphones along with the Moto G6 series. The Moto G6 has been priced at $249 which is approximately Rs 16,500 and the Moto G6 Play at $199 which is approximately Rs 13,000 in India. But a year or more down the line, it's likely that the Moto G6 will start to fall behind on software features as new versions of Android pass it by.

Moto G6 series from Motorola comes in three variants: A look at the differences between Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play.

For now, all the three Motorola phones including the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus are available in Brazil. That in itself would be more powerful than the 3GB or 4GB RAM variants of the Moto G6. The Indian variants will have the same specifications and features but the pricing will be different.

The latest Moto E models include a Moto E5 Play, a Moto E5 Plus, and a standard Moto E5 that won't reach the United States. The handset comes in Black, Dark Lake, and Flash Gray color options.

The E5 Play, on the other hand, fails to impress with its 5.2-inch display, which, although listed as "HD", looks pixelated and washed out compared to any of the other phones that have been announced along with it; its plastic body; 16:9 display; and a 2,800 mAh removable battery. It comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 (64 bit) Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.8Ghz coupled with optional 3GB/4GB of RAM.

Xiaomi has come a long way into adopting a taller bezel-less screen on the Redmi Note 5 Pro as the 5.99-inch IPS LCD display is a beauty to watch with its 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.

RAM: 6GB / 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. In the photography department, Moto E5 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera. Motorola is calling its take on the full view 18:9 aspect ratio as Max Vision display. What makes this phone special is its massive 5,000mAh battery, and its support for 15W charging.

For imaging, there is a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF), and LED flash.

Display: 6-inch, HD+ resolution (1440 × 720 pixels), 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi's Redmi 5 now retails at Rs. 7,999 for the 16GB storage version and Rs. 8,999 for the 32GB storage variant. The fingerprint scanner along with the abundance of gesture controls sits conveniently on the front where it can be accessed comfortably.
