Engler became interim president in January after Lou Anna Simon resigned due to Nassar being sentenced for the crimes against Michigan State students.

Survivor of ex-MSU and USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar's sexual abuse and University of MI freshman Morgan McCaul plans to address MSU's Board of Trustees at its next meeting on Friday.

Said trustee Brian Mosallam: "If Kaylee Lorincz's story is correct, I am beyond disturbed".

According to her account, the payoff attempt occurred on March 28, when the teenager and her mother, Lisa Lorincz, went to MSU offices to sign up to speak at this month's Board of Trustees meeting.

"I think that the general attitude towards victims of sexual assault has not changed, and until that attitude changes, survivors will not feel safe here", she said.

As to Engler's statement that Viventi was not his attorney, Guerrant said: "Carol is a lawyer".

"They responded and said it was just a meeting, to discuss things, and they (Engler and Viventi) weren't there as lawyers, just as university representatives", Manly said.

"I just wanted a five-minute conversation to introduce myself and to let President Engler be able to put a face with the word survivor since he has not met with any of the girls", Lorincz told ESPN. He also said that he had met with Rachael Denhollander and that she gave him a number.

Students and survivors of abuse from Larry Nassar were in attendance at the meeting; some wearing "silenced" gags over their mouths, and others shouting out comments during the meeting.

Saying that people could have "different interpretations of the same meeting", Guerrant said, "I don't disagree with the themes she mentioned in there". Lorincz said she asked Denhollander about the incident, and that Denhollander said she had never met with Engler or given him a dollar amount.

It took a lot of faith and confidence in his team to not make any changes after such an emphatic loss, especially in the playoffs. What happened was another Bruins goal on the ensuing power play that made it 5-1 in the first game between the bitter rivals.

In terms of what she wants to come out of the entire crisis surrounding MSU, McCaul also said the university must take responsibility for enabling Nassar and others before any further progress can be made. "These resources are available to every member of the community, 24-7, no exceptions", said MSU Interim President John Engler. My mom interrupted and said what about former Dean Strampel? Wasn't he just arrested?

She said Engler rolled his eyes, and said it was "only a slap on the butt".

"The media has taken these allegations about MSU's response to her assault as established fact", the statement said.

"How dare you spend a half a million dollars stalking my social media accounts and then deny my first amendment right to bring a sign into this public meeting", Morgan McCaul, a Nassar victim who's now a freshman at University of MI, said in response to reports that MSU paid a New York-based law firm to monitor social media activity related to the Nassar case. "When you protect and promote a sexual predator, and foster a culture of lies and cover ups, YOU are responsible".

As McCaul's testimony concluded, the crowd joined her in chanting, "Shame on you", at the board. In December, I described to you bits and pieces of my assault by Larry Nassar. I can no longer care about helping MSU, and you guys, certainly, do not.
