U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley ripped Russian Federation a new one Friday over their continued defense of Syria dictator Bashar al-Assad in face of a reported chemical weapons attack on civilians.

US Ambassador Nikki Haley said on Friday there should be no rush to launch military action on Syria, but that "at one point you have to do something". "But should the United States and our allies decide to act in Syria, it will be in defense of a principle on which we all agree", Haley said, referencing global conventions banning the use of chemical weapons.

The accusation, made by the American ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki R. Haley, came during a vitriolic exchange with her Russian counterpart at a meeting of the Security Council, which focused on a suspected chemical weapons assault in a Damascus suburb last week.

"I started to listen to my Russian friend and respond", Haley said.

Fines, parking fees and registration costs can be automatically billed via the smart plate and its associated electronic wallet. Dubai aims to be an worldwide technology hub and has big plans to expand the use of technology in transport.

"It is those who act to violate the prohibition on chemical weapons who deserve our condemnation", Haley said in conclusion. The Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations Francois Delattre said that the Assad regime is using chemical weapons to attack its opponents in a pre-determined way. "It is a record that has led to the trashing of all global standards against the use of chemical weapons".

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who warned that the Syrian crisis "represents the most serious threat to global peace and security", said he backed US -led efforts to send independent investigators to the scene of the alleged chemical attack, but he also warned against actions that could lead to military escalation. Guterres also said that Syrians have suffered from random attacks, displacement, torture and relentless bombing for over seven years and that the world is watching.

Moscow has repeatedly claimed the chemical attack was staged by rebels to provoke further intervention in the conflict by the West. She also departed from her prepared remarks to tell off Russian Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia. "We have weighty justification to believe ... that what took place was a provocation of certain countries' intelligence services".

"Russia can complain all it wants about fake news, but no one is buying its lies and its coverups", Haley said.

As the global community waits to see if there will be a military response, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned of the dangers of escalation.

After facing criticism for telegraphing his potential military move - something he criticized former President Barack Obama, for doing - he backtracked, tweeting Thursday that a Syria strike "could be very soon or not so soon at all!"

"Increasing tensions and the inability to reach a compromise in the establishment of an accountability mechanism threaten to lead to a full-blown military escalation", he said.
