Pakistan name five uncapped players for Test tour of England

The Pakistan Test squad is as follows: Pakistan squad: Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Azhar Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Sami Aslam, Haris Sohail, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Saad Ali, Asad Shafiq, Usman Salahuddin, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Abbas, Hasan Ali, Rahat Ali, Faheem Ashraf.

The left-handed Alam has consistently been one of the highest run-scorers in Pakistan's domestic cricket and now has 10,742 first-class runs under his belt.

As many as five players could be in line for their Test debuts over the three games, which include Inzamam's nephew Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Usman Salahuddin, Saad Ali and Faheem Ashraf.

Reflecting on the squad, national chief selector Inzamam said that they have tried to give chance to youngsters keeping in mind the next World Cup in England. His average from 145 games is 55.3 which comfortably the best in Pakistan's recent history.
