Saudi Arabia's air defence forces intercepted a ballistic missile over Riyadh on Wednesday, state media said, after at least three blasts were heard and three clouds of smoke were seen in the sky above the capital. Houthis reported the attack on their website saying dozens of Sudanese soldiers had been killed and armoured vehicles destroyed.
The Houthis´ Al-Masirah TV channel did not say when the attack took place or give details of any damage. Saudi officials have not yet commented on the report.
The Houthis said they were targeting an Aramco facility in Jizan, but the company said its facilities there were operating "normally and safely".

Saudi Arabia and a coalition of mostly Gulf Arab states intervened in Yemen's civil war in 2015 to try and push back the Houthis after the movement drove the internationally recognised government into Saudi exile.
" The Minister stated Sudan's firm stance on its participation in the coalition forces and its support to the efforts to restoring stability in brotherly Yemen", said the foreign ministry spokesperson Gaffar Sumi Toto in a statement released after the meeting.
