Astronomers discovered Exiled asteroid in outer reaches of solar system

In particular, these carbon-rich asteroids or carbonaceous asteroids can be hidden in a cold region beyond the orbit of Neptune known as Kuiper Belt. They had found a carbon-covered asteroid floating among countless icy bodies far away in our solar system.

Researchers said that the asteroid likely formed in the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars but was eventually hurled out billions of miles into its new home in the Kuiper Belt. This ancient, exiled rock from the solar system's primordial days provides unprecedented evidence of what that early time was really like, researchers said in the statement. Like the asteroid belt, it consists mainly of small bodies or remnants from when the Solar System formed. Since Kuiper Belt Object 2004 EW95 has a strong spectrum, its light can be broken down into different wavelengths, enabling researchers to determine what the asteroid is made of. Tom Seccull hails from the Queen's University Belfast in the United Kingdom.

The asteroid is nearly 200 miles wide and is about 2.5 billion miles from Earth, making it tricky to examine. On the other hand, the asteroid's light reflection information indicated 2004 EW95 also lasted a huge blow which caused it to warm up appreciably.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja share adorable pictures from their wedding album
The actress took to Instagram to share a long thank-you note to her family and friends for making her wedding memorable. Father Anil Kapoor with wife Sunita Kapoor and son Harshvardhan Kapoor were very much active throughout the wedding.

[1] Current dynamical models of the evolution of the early Solar System, such as the grand tack hypothesis and the Nice model, predict that the giant planets migrated first inward and then outward, disrupting and scattering objects from the inner Solar System. Carbonaceous or C-type asteroids are the most common type of asteroid - Bennu, the target asteroid for NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission is one, but like most of this type they typically orbit a lot closer to the Sun. This was the first time those compounds had been seen on Kuiper belt objects, reports The Times.

For his part, the ESO astronomer Olivier Hainaut, stressed that "the discovery of a carbonaceous asteroid in the Kuiper belt is a key verification for one of the fundamental predictions of the dynamic models of the early Solar System".

In a new find, astronomers are stunned to discover an asteroid orbiting beyond Neptune in the Kuiper Belt.

Matt Harvey is Ready to Move on with Reds
The Reds are just 25-56 in their last 81 games versus the Dodgers overall and are 9-29 in their last 38 games in Los Angeles. Reds manager Jim Riggleman announced the news on Thursday and said that Harvey would be on a limited pitch count.

As the asteroid is far away and at the same time very dark because of its abundant carbon, its observation was very hard.

The 300km-long asteroid was discovered by astronomer Dr Wesley Fraser, of Queen's University Belfast, in Northern Ireland. Some recent notions indicate they were thrown by renegade gas giants such as Jupiter and Saturn through the first days of the solar system's creation.

ESO is the foremost intergovernmental astronomy organisation in Europe and the world's most productive ground-based astronomical observatory by far.

Man City sets Premier League record for points, goals,…
Yaya Toure is set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season after eight seasons with the Premier League champions. Jurgen Klopp has named his Premier League Manager of the Season, joking that he would be "pretty close".

That said, the group turned towards the Very Large Telescope in Chile and took more detailed measurements of the light the rock reflected. ESO is also a major partner in two facilities on Chajnantor, APEX and ALMA, the largest astronomical project in existence.
