The BCCI has named the IPL Supernovas and Trailblazers teams, to be led by Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana respectively, for the women's T20 challenge at Wankhede Stadium on May 22.

No firm details of the new league have yet been revealed, but pressure for a women's IPL has been building since India reached the final of the women's World Cup in England past year.

There will be a host of Indian and global stars that will take the field for the Women's T20 Challenge match in Mumbai.

Exercise does not prevent or delay onset of dementia
A surprising study by a team of United Kingdom researchers says people with dementia should avoid intense physical activities. This suggests the type of exercise programme may not have been particularly attractive, particularly to women with dementia.

While the match is indeed a great news for all women's cricket followers in the country, the BCCI has also done a great job in bringing many star players from Australia, England, and New Zealand to take part in the match.

Speaking about this T20 Challenge game, Rajeev Shukla, Chairman, IPL, said, "Even as IPL continues to roll like a well-oiled machine, over the last couple of weeks, efforts were made to put in place a similar structure for women cricketers. Danni Wyatt and Daniel Hazell will add the English flavour".

Diana Edulji, member of Committee of Administrators (CoA) and former India captain, said, "We are excited to announce the first-of-its-kind exhibition match involving our women cricketers". It is our endeavor that women cricketers also got the chance to play on a big platform like IPL.
