Pope Francis: Like Mary, the Church is a mother

Fr. James Martin, the author of "Building a Bridge", told The Times that Francis' reported comments are a "big deal" because it is likely the first time the pope made a comment "about gay people being born that way".

The Roman Catholic Church would not address the Pope's remarks directly, saying it does not comment on his private conversations. Another person wrote, "Pope Francis really truly is a wonderful human being".

Pope Francis to a gay man: "God made you like this".

The Vatican declined to confirm or deny the remarks in keeping with its policy not to comment on the pope's private conversations.

The report comes shortly after all active Chilean bishops resigned in the wake of a sex-abuse scandal that centered around Juan Carlos's alleged abuser, Rev. Karadima (who, in 2011, was found guilty of sexually abusing children).

The children, reported OK, were so poorly behaved that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had two rehearsals for the ceremony. Amal and George Clooney were amongst those who were joining Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to celebrate their big day.

Francis has been known for his tolerant views of homosexuality, telling a reporter in 2013 "who am I to judge?' when asked about a 'gay lobby" within the Vatican.

"He said, 'Look Juan Carlos, the pope loves you this way".

"They had told him that I didn't believe, that I was an enemy of the Church", Cruz said, according to Crux.

The Rev. James Martin, a Catholic priest who advocates outreach to LGBT people, also praised the pope's reported comments.

The pope has upheld Catholic teaching on homosexuality, reiterating the church's opposition to same-sex relationships. "Bride and Mother. And the Fathers go further and say that even your soul is the bride of Christ and mother".

As per The Hollywood Reporter , the two are reportedly in early talks to collaborate for a biopic on the life of Ulysses S. However, it is not known when he would fit filming into his schedule, as he already has a number of films on his plate.

In his homily, the pope reflected on the need for the Church to maintain its feminine nature as wife and mother, like Mary. Sin is sin. Tendencies, hormonal imbalance, have and cause so many problems. we must be attentive. Not to say that it's all the same, but in each case, welcome, accompany, study, discern and integrate.

In addition, there was a time not so long ago when the Catholic Church officially taught that sexual orientation was not something people choose, the implication being it was how God made them.

In his homily, Pope Francis said that in the Gospel, Mary is always described as "the Mother of Jesus", instead of "the Lady" or "the widow of Joseph": her motherliness is emphasized throughout the Gospels, beginning with the Annunciation.

After attending a crisis meeting with Francis about the cover-up last week, all of Chile's bishops offered to resign. Mr. Cruz acknowledged that he was gay and, jokingly, not the reincarnation of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, a model of the virtue of purity, but someone who tried to be "a good person".
