Featuring a ton of blood and graphic violence, uncomfortably set to David Bowie's "Fame", the trailer for "Jack" confirms von Trier is up to his usual polarizing tricks. This is a very bloody, violent trailer - watch out. I understand Hitler, ' he said. Time and again we've heard about movies that have left audience members fainting in the aisles but have actually turned out to be considerably tamer than first believed. This trailer gives us a look at a lot of footage from this, and I'm so there for it.

Von Trier's script follows Jack's development as a murderer, following him through five important killings and providing glimpses into his troubling coming-of-age experience. The House That Jack Built premieres at Cannes today (May 14), so we'll likely hear how the film is sooner rather than later.

IFC Films is releasing The House That Jack Built for the USA, but no release date has been announced at this time.

We experience the story from Jack's point of view, while he postulates each murder is an artwork in itself. The goal is the ultimate artwork: A collection of all his killings manifested in a House that he builds.
