"US diplomacy sham is merely a regression to old habits: imprisoned by delusions & failed policies-dictated by corrupt Special Interest-it repeats the same wrong choices and will thus reap the same ill rewards.

No action taken by the regime has been more unsafe than its pursuit of nuclear weapons and the means of delivering them", the President said when he announced the us withdrawal from the deal.

Mike Pompeo, the newly-confirmed secretary of State, will unveil what happens now after President Trump pulled the United States out of the Iran nuclear deal that was negotiated in 2015.

Under the deal signed in Vienna with six world powers - China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the U.S. and Germany, as well as the European Union - Iran scaled back its enrichment of uranium and vowed not to pursue nuclear weapons in exchange for sanctions relief.

He also demanded that Iran must withdraw all forces under Iranian command from Syria, end support for the Taliban and other terrorists in Afghanistan and the region, and cease harbouring al-Qaeda, and it must end its Quds Force's support for terrorists and militant partners.

"The sting of sanctions will be painful", Pompeo said during the speech at the conservative D.C. -based think tank Heritage Foundation. “America did not create this need for changed behavior.

That regulation was upheld by the Supreme Court in 1991 but never fully implemented. This shows the dishonesty of the Planned Parenthood's 3% talking point.

"The bet that the JCPOA [Iran nuclear agreement] would increase stability was a bad one", Pompeo said, adding the deal has had negative consequences for everyone living in the Middle East.

Spokesman of Iranian Foreign Ministry Bahram Ghasemi said that there would be no issue other than the JCPOA discussed by the signatory states of the JCPOA without USA in the next meeting of the joint commission. He threatened that failing to meet them would result in sanctions which would ultimately destroy Iran's economy.

Formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the so-called Iran nuclear deal - an Obama-era agreement between Iran and the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia, China, and the European Union - was established to reward Iran for curbing its nuclear program.

“It is Americas hope that our labors toward peace and security will bear fruit for the long-suffering people of Iran, ” Pompeo said.

Pompeo presented a list of 12 "basic requirements" for a new treaty, including that Iran must stop enrichment of uranium and never pre-process plutonium, as well as allow "unqualified access to all [nuclear] sites throughout the country".

Trump announced the U.S.is withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal and imposing the "highest level" economic sanctions against Iran on May 8.

Iran must also declare all of its previous efforts to build a nuclear weapon, Pompeo said, reopening an issue that the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency has already deemed closed. "Iran's leaders saw it as a starting gun for the march across the Middle East".

"Our demands on Iran are not unreasonable: give up your program", Pompeo said, "Should they choose to go back, should they begin to enrich, we are fully prepared to respond to that as well", he said, declining to elaborate.

"We acknowledge Iran's right to defend its people".

He listed the problems with the JCPOA as having "weak sunset provisions" that would allow Iran to make a "quick sprint to the bomb" once they kicked in that would set off an arms race for a nuclear weapon. Many also saw the agreement as proof that the self-avowed reformist president, Hassan Rouhani, sought to open Iran up to the world in other ways.

Pompeo unveiled the Trump administration's new strategy toward Iran nearly two weeks after President Donald Trump announced the United States would withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.
