Many have guessed that the "B" might stand for "breakfasts" or "bacon", but the Powers That Be over at the chain soon-to-be formerly known as IHOP are remaining tight-lipped regarding the specifics of the new moniker until Monday, when "all will b revealed".
It is unclear whether the name change would be permanent but IHOP rep Stephanie Peterson confirmed to Fox News that it is taking place.
It's still to be determined whether IHOP is actually aware of the connection.

On Wednesday morning, IHOP announced on its Facebook page that on June 18, it will change its name by flipping the P (for "pancakes") to a B. Nobody knows. This week, they have been going back and forth with Twitter users about the possibilities, never fully releasing its meaning.
That one seems like a stretch.
