PUBG Has Now Sold 50 Million Copies, Has Over 400m Players


The creators of the game, the PUBG Corporation, announced this week that they have reached over 400 million total players worldwide across all platforms to date.

Essentially, PUBG's Event Pass works a lot like Fortnite's Battle Pass.

Instagram challenges YouTube with IGTV, a new app for creators

The Event Pass is a trackable progression related system, which allows player to unlock cosmetics in the game in a manner different from the crate and key system.

After mimicking Fortnite's Battle Pass on mobile earlier this week, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is set to introduce a paid, timed event with the arrival of the new Sanhok map on Friday, June 22: it's called Event Pass, and it helps you unlock more cosmetic customisations. After earning certain levels, free DLC like clothing and weapon skins will unlock and a premium version of the Event Pass will unlock more faster. The pass will contain daily, weekly, and map specific missions to complete, and will last for four weeks from this Friday. You'll unlock items by completing missions and "leveling up" your pass, and it sounds like there will be plenty of missions to complete.
