Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’ crosses Rs 100 crore milestone over opening weekend

The actor's latest festival release Race 3 crossed the Rs 100 crore mark over its opening weekend, making Rs 106.47 crore in domestic box office collections. While Akshay Kumar holds the record of delivering five consecutive Rs 100 crore films with PadMan putting an end to his winning streak, Shah Rukh Khan delivered six consecutive Rs 100 crore films and his streak was broken with Fan.

Starring an ensemble cast of Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah, the action thriller is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films. In the third week since release, Parmanu collected a total of Rs 60.05 crore.

The result? "Race 3" has hit the three-figure mark at the box office in the opening weekend itself.

"Race 3" made Rs 38.14 crore and Rs 39.16 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Friday 29.17 crore, Saturday 38.14 crore, Sunday 39.16 crore. On Day 2, it saw nearly 40 percent growth in its collections and earned a mammoth Rs 38.14 crore on Saturday. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, Ajay Devgn's Raid, Kartik Aaryan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 and Alia Bhatt's Raazi were the other movies to cross the coveted mark.

Taran Adarsh also gave a box office break-up of Salman's film from Bajrangi Bhaijaan to Race 3 and provided their earnings in three days.
