Sanders acknowledges restaurant ouster

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders acknowledges in a tweet that she was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant Friday night.

A server briefly attended to Sanders and her family at the Red Hen until the owner recognized Sanders and had the lot thrown out, CBS News reports.

The post went viral when the director of Clean Virginia, a left-leaning energy non-profit, shared the post on Twitter, along with a handwritten note purportedly from the restaurant which said: "86 - Sara (sic) Huckabee Sanders".

But once she had confirmed it was in fact Ms Sanders, Ms Wilkinson said she was driven by the discomfort of her employees to ask Ms Sanders' party of eight to leave the restaurant.

Instead of posting politically motivated reviews on the restaurant's page, Yelp invites community members to discuss the situation at its Yelp Talk forum. "Do the fools who threw Sarah out, and the people who cheer them on, really want us to be that kind of country?"

A note reportedly from the restaurant asking staff not to serve the White House press secretary. "This used to be against the law, but we all know who changed that and what's good for the goose... well, you know the rest".

"You have my full support!", one commenter said.
