Trump signs `comprehensive document' with Kim as summit ends

Trump has offered to help rebuild North Korea's impoverished economy if he will agree to the United States' demands.

Trump said, "We signed a joint statement that is an unwavering commitment to complete denuclearisation of North Korea".

While this was Kim Jong-un's first such meeting in front of a pool of photographers and global journalists, he appeared to be very at east in the situation while both he and Donald Trump seemed to embrace the positive spirit of the moment. "We're going to be tremendously successful, and it's my honor, and we will have a terrific relationship", he added.

Following their summit in Singapore, Trump and Kim pledged to denuclearise the Korean peninsula and work for finding a peaceful resolution to seven decades of hostilities between the two countries.
