Arsenal complete move for Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira

Arsenal have completed the signing of Sampdoria and Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira for a fee in the region of £26m.

The 22 year-old has just returned from representing his country at the World Cup in Russian Federation, where he played in all five matches as they progressed to the quarter-finals.

Tenfield says Torreira will earn £50,000 a week at Arsenal with his move potentially being confirmed today.

According to L'Equipe, Guendouzi had attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, Roma and PSG but Unai Emery ensured that Arsenal won the race by convincing the midfielder to join the Premier League club.
