Billy Dee Williams Confirmed To Return For 'Star Wars: Episode IX'

He didn't even rate a mention from Luke, Han, or Leia - whom, so far as we know in the new Star Wars canon, last saw him at the Ewok celebration on the forest moon of Endor following the destruction of the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi.

With all of the recent rumors about Billy Dee getting in shape, and cancelling most of his fall schedule, The Hollywood Reporter finally got confirmation through their sources that it is true, Billy Dee is returning Star Wars: Episode IX. They will join Star Wars regulars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver.

He's also lent his iconic voice to the character in numerous animated film and TV projects, as well as several Star Wars video games.
