Denver agrees to deal with Isaiah Thomas

Isaiah Thomas is headed to his 6th team in 7 years.

The All-Star point guard agreed to a one-year deal with the Nuggets, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported early Friday morning. However, by reuniting with head coach Mike Malone, the 29-year-old will have an opportunity to prove his hip injury is a thing of the past and can become a free agent once again following the 2018-19 National Basketball Association season.

Husband finds wife, alleged lover dead of carbon monoxide poisoning
Police pronounced both the mechanic and Hargrave dead at the scene, adding that their deaths "appear to be accidental". ABC 7 reports that he said he found his wife on the ground while the mechanic appeared to be looking at the vehicle .

Thomas, 29, has been steadily progressing in rehabilitation since his early April procedure on his right hip. A problem with the same joint also knocked him out of the end of the 2017 playoffs. Thomas gives the team another fun weapon to work with, and the Nuggets could be a good situation with which he can prove his abilities, a year removed from a season when he was getting light MVP buzz.

Last summer, the Celtics dealt Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, a 2018 first-round draft pick and a 2020 second-rounder to the Cavaliers for guard Kyrie Irving. Thomas played in just 15 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers this past season and was eventually sent via trade to the Los Angeles Lakers. With the Cavaliers struggling, however, they dealt Thomas, Channing Frye and a 2018 first-round draft pick to the Los Angeles Lakers on February 8 for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. He averaged 15.2 points, 4.8 assists and 2.1 rebounds over 32 total games in 2017-18.

Papa John's founder John Schnatter resigns as chairman after using N-word
However, Schnatter owns the stadium's naming rights and not Papa John's, according to the Louisville Courier Journal . He reportedly replied, "Colonel Sanders called blacks n--s", and complained Sanders had never faced public backlash.

No player tanked their value as a free agent more over the past year than Isaiah Thomas.
