The 57-year-old actor was riding his scooter on the Italian island of Sardinia on Tuesday (July 10) when another auto cut him off.

Fans were quick to express their relief that the dad-of-two was doing well after the accident, with one tweeting: "I saw George Clooney trending and nearly had a heart attack".

George, 57, was reportedly found lying injured on the road, having badly hurt his pelvis and bruised both his arms and legs.
