Productivity group revenue was up 13 percent to $9.7 billion, with operating income up 20 percent at $3.5 billion.

Microsoft's overall revenue for the fourth fiscal quarter reached $30.1 billion, up 17 percent YoY and beating analysts' predictions of $29.2 billion. We're investing aggressively in content, community, and cloud services across every end-point to expand usage and deepen engagement with gamers.

Revenue from server products and cloud services was up 23% to $9.6 billion (analysts expected $9.09 billion).

Notably, Azure - considered the leading rival to the dominant Amazon Web Services - saw revenue growth of 89% from the same period in 2017, though Microsoft doesn't disclose specific financials for the service. Windows OEM Pro revenue grew by 14% (14% CC), and non-Pro declined 3% (3% CC).

Gaming revenue increased 39% with Xbox software and services revenue growth of 36%.

On the gaming side, which includes everything from Xbox hardware to Xbox Live subscriptions to revenue from games made by Microsoft as well as other studios, the company reported its first ever $10 billion year.
