Roy Moore Threatens to Sue Sacha Baron Cohen Over Provocative Showtime Series

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin appeared on Good Morning America today to describe the "really humiliating interview" she was duped into taking with comedian and actor Sacha Baron Cohen.

Suffice to say, the former vice presidential candidate was not amused by her encounter with Cohen, calling him a "piece of ****".

Palin, reiterating and expanding on a Facebook post she wrote earlier this week explaining her appearance on Cohen's show, discussed why she ultimately "literally, physically removed" her mic and walked out of the interview.

Palin previously claimed in her Facebook post that Cohen appeared in the interview disguised as a "disabled USA veteran".

Showtime has no comment.

Roy Moore issued a vague threat to sue Showtime, the channel on which the new Sacha Baron Cohen series will be televised Sunday. Conservative commentator Sarah Palin came out shortly after to say that she too had been fooled, having flown across the country to meet with a person she thought was a disabled veteran in a wheelchair.

On Thursday, Baron Cohen responded - sort of - with a crass in-character statement telling his side of the story.

"...[I] t was I that interviewed you", the missive reads in part.

'I think it is important to know if people tune in to the show then they're going to see how middle class Americans are mocked and our values are mocked, ' said Palin.

"Ruddick, a totally real individual who only joined Twitter back in April, went on to tell Palin he "[has] always admired you for TELLING THE TRUTH about Obama's birth certificate and the location of Russian Federation. "But ma'am I do believe you have been hit by a bulls- grenade and are now bleedin' FAKE NEWS".

Palin, the 2008 USA vice-presidential candidate, says she was tricked into an interview, ostensibly about American veterans, by a person dressed as a disabled United States serviceman.

"You used to hunt the most unsafe animals in the country, like wolves and people on welfare", Ruddick added.
